Ghana
I first became aware of Ghana and its important history as the first African country to break the chains of colonialism when I was writing a paper about Kwame Nkrumah in High School. Learning about Ghana and the late and great Kwame Nkrumah was my first inroad into Pan-Africanism which instilled a great admiration for Ghana and its history and symbolic relevance of independence for the continent. These pictures are from my first trip to this beautiful country in March 2018, I got to spend time with family while exploring the wonders of Ghana. I thoroughly enjoyed my time in Accra and also got to visit the beautiful coasts of Busua, the historic landmarks in Cape Coast and the captivating nature landscapes in and around the bountiful Volta region. Ghana is truly a beautiful country, but what makes Ghana stand out for me is the sincerity, warmth and kindness of its people, I highly recommend adding Ghana to your travel list.
